Can someone tell me what size AN fitting I need to replace my banjo bolts? I drilled out a couple of them today and then decided that I'm just going to get that whole piece of crap system out of there. I know there's been a lot of talk on this subject and I figured someone would know off the top of their head. Thanks in advance.

To replace the banjo bolts you need what is referred to as a "Weber Fitting". The thread size into the housings is 12mm x 1. 5 pitch on one side and -6 male flare on the other. Then you need -6 hose which is close to 3/8".
Install -6 fittings on the end of the hose to attach to the "Weber Fittings".

Brandon has a list of the parts to accomplish this on his site.

don't forget that in production is the same fitting but it will be for -8AN; for guys who want to go with the -8 lines--hopefully I'll have some by the end of the month or shortly thereafter--chris

but if you need -8 to 12mm sooner there is a company that has then on da shelf ... brandon got that info ???

but i'm with you vanman , i put alot of effort into moding the banjo bolts , and they will flow fuel now , never drops to zero , but that was after replacing the stock lift pump to the carter HP , or a similar pump . but i have done all i can or want with banjos , they are gone , though for those that want a totally stock apperance , it is the way to go .

MM--to my knowledge these things are not to be found-unless Brandon found them this weekend somewhere---that's why I'm getting them made--I could be wrong as I haven't talked to B since Friday---chris

I haven't been able to find the 12mm to -8 fittings either. I figure the best way to find them is to go ahead and install the -6 lines... lol. As far as banjo bolts, Bosch has been using those things forever... why I don't know.

chris , a non tdr member sent him some info via email , a company in canada called goodridge ??? guy also sent me the info with a distributor in CA. phone when he saw no mention of it on any of the threads ??? maybe he called and they were more expensive than the ones you are getting made ? they are steel i believe ? anywho i have the info but there seemed to be a lack of much interest and then i saw that you were having them made .

MM--yea I remember Brandon saying that or maybe he emailed me, but there was no info beyond the name, but I thought it was Goodrich not Goodridge and maybe that's why I came up empty if I get time I'll try to check 'em out--- I talked to my production guy and they should start producing them shortly--in steel--chris

Here's the information on the source for 12X1. 5 to AN adapters:

Goodridge California, Inc.
20309 Gramercy Place
Torrance CA 90501

(310) 533-1924
Fax (310) 618-0909

12X1. 5 to AN-6 is Part Number 5070
12X1. 5 to AN-8 is part Number 5074

Goodridge is the manufacturer and is unlikely to sell direct, so I suggest that if anyone is interested, they call Goodridge and ask them for a list of their distributors and/or retailers.

I have ordered a set of adapters from Bud at Kerrisdale Speed Centre in Surrey BC. He doesn't have them in stock; they were ordered on a regular stock order through his distributor, so they are taking a while to get here. I explained this in my emails to both Brandon and MM, but maybe I wasn't clear enough in my explanation. Anyway, there you go. Fly at it.

Looking forward to meeting some of you at the BD Dyno Day next Saturday.

Tom

tommy , thanks for clearing that up , i thought by your email that you were not a registered member . i have not had a chance to look into it , to many things going on this time of year are keeping me from doing what i would rather be doing , wrenching on my own car .

i will look into a dealer on the east coast .

Racing motorcycles for a while now and have used goodrige lines and pads ... ..... Exelent stuff mainly in the racing / brakes side but fuel delivery i have seen in the past. (Not the kevlar stuff tho verrry sensitive to well..... everything) steel braided lines are works of art themselves.
you can see the lines at work here... ... ... ... #ad

. . Rock on
