I have two 4" systems along with the Stinger. Has a much throatier sound,I like it. As much power gain as I need. The Banks systems are pricey for what you get,but are of high quality and are one shot bombing. One real good point of Banks is that if DC denies warenty due to the modification,Banks will cover it. I've had my rigs in for warrenty work and recalls, only time anything was said about the mod. was when one service manager told me their dealership recomends the Banks to everyone that buys a Cummins and offered it as an option.

Isn't a 4" exhaust useless when your turbo exhaust housing or exhaust brake only has a 3" outlet? That's one part I haven't figure out yet.

Rob

Let me explain, the exhaust gasses are highly compressed inside the turbo and they need to expand as quickly as possible on the outlet of the turbo creating a pressure drop from the inlet to the outlet of the exhuast turbine housing.
The bigger the pressure drop the better our turbo spins creating boost and air flow on the intake side of the engine.
The Lower the back pressure after the turbo the better for power and response!!!

I hope this helps

I really like my Banks 4" diameter, mandrel bent, stainless steel exhaust system (which also includes the straight-through, stainless steel Dynaflow muffler). It has a nice throaty sound to it. Also, I paid within $100. of the going price for most of the better 4" aluminized steel exhaust systems on the market today. In my opinion, there isn't a better exhaust system available for your Ram at any price! #ad
