My truck often sits for 7 to 10 days at a time and that's hard on batteries. It's time to replace them and I decided to try Caterpillar brand. I researched and found they use a stronger grid in their batteries due to off road use with more vibration.
On their website I found a battery with the same dimensions as my originals, 12 volt with 880 CCA (cold cranking amps).
I picked them up at the local Cat dealer at a reasonable price. Incidentally you don't pay an environmental fee because they are sold for off road use. I'll be installing them today. I prefer to do the installation myself so I can clean up any corrosion etc.
Good way to start the New Year.
