hammer , thanks , you think it was a rocket before , you should drive it now with DD3's and the 93 , i think i'll be down on the 10th ...
i'm sure people will think i'm biased being i install DTT , but i'll tell you this , if the ANY others were better , it would be in my truck . i have driven 2 trucks with the new BD Xstator and massdiesel HAD a Pro Torque Xtreme .
the shop we work out of , mass diesel performance , has a small dirt road that takes you in and out , small incline , i haven't measured it , but its rises quickly . i use it as a gauge for TC performance , all DTT TC's 89 - 93 easily climb this hill at idle , all the way up to the street , mine actually stopped one while going in reverse , not sure what the ratio is first vs. reverse , surprised me .
anywho the 2 BD equipped trucks both made it half way and came to a dead stop , the pro torque about the same , my 93% idles at 8 mph , its actually a bit to tight sometimes .
eagle eye , i have seen the bd x up close , its looks pretty , i even asked bill why he didn't do it like that , he told me the whole story , i can't get into it , but he tried it already , couldn't get the performance out of the alum part .
bill comes from a heavy drag racing background , he borrowed the steel stator idea from the drag racing , drag racers look for the edge weight and performance wise from every single part they install. if a machined alum stator was better than a welded steel stator they would use it , even if the alum part cost more to make than the steel one .
funny , i don't see anyone bragging about the BD TC ??????
