Clue, they did not redesign it because of issues with one unit! Their much trouted compression test does not account for for and aft forces. Just saying.

It is good that they are coming out with puck models, however that is going to add weight, and low weight is their biggest sales appeal.

They still have no true short bed solution.

I guess they saw the writing on the wall, and redesigned. I only read about the one, but I guess there could of been others. The main thing is they corrected an issue that could have had worse consequences .

Yes the short bed issue could be a concern for some, but as you know with the newer fifth wheels, and their sculptured front caps, its a lot less concern . You having the same truck, well at least the same length bed as I do, I never have had to pull my slider back in the 9 years I have had my present fifth wheel. Its nice knowing I have one. With the Andersen with the offset , it would be of no concern to me.

There are ones that are going to take out a back window or dent a cap regardless whether they have a slider or not. Those folks need an automatic slider, its the only thing thats going to save them , HOPEFULLY .:rolleyes:
