P. S. Could you tell us a little more about yourself and your company?

If you would rather not I totally understand, some people just don't like typeing on the computer. :)

brochure states that the ivt transmission can handle "up to 400 hp" what happens then? do you start slipping a belt:D sounds like my 650 prairie ... i'll bet the belt squeel would run you out of the truck

This sounds interesting. I wonder what sort of $$ they will get for these things! I wonder what happens after 400hp, do the gears start binding up then?

Edward,

There is a dyno/drag event going on next weekend in Raleigh NC. How about coming on over and lets compare transmissions and HP. This is not a challenge but rather an invite so we can all meet and discuss this further. Plus we can all go for rides and compare different setups.

i think that u'll find Goerand Bros Trans to be the best converter for the buck and it also comes with a lifetime warrenty. Stock stall and the ablity to lock up at any time is the way to go, street, strip, and work. Like I told Doug awhile back, if he really wanted to make some time, just try a stock stall triple disk. our engines don't make the power until that turbo spools and with a low stall its takes too long to get the turbo rolling.
I have heard that there new convertor is being tested now, Jim

Thanks for the invitation. I am sorry I have to decline, but most of my time away from work is taken up with a home I am remodeling. I hope to be able to move into it sometime in the near future. Again Thanks for the invitation.

There is a bit of a conflict in the text on the brochure...

( middle column page 2)

"The Transrevolution Model 4000, a gear driven design for light duty diesel engines can handle up to 400 HP. "

and then... .

(right column page 2)

"3. Revolution 4000 handles more than 400 horsepower. "

When I looked at it this AM, I wondered if anyone would notice this.

When the desighner of the trans CVT talked to us about this trans for the truck market it was said to be able to withstand over 1000hp. They are just working on some oiling issues and electrical before it is ready. It is in a 2001 Dodge truck as of now.

I went through the same thing a couple months ago. Every time I thought about going with someone other than DTT I ended up asking myself how they compared with DTT. For me, and many others, DTT is the standard by which all others are judged. I'm very happy with my transmission and haven't done any second guessing. Good luck with whatever you decide.
