Best Exhaust Resonator

just drove 800 miles in truck with 4inch Banks muffler and Im sick of the drone. I want to cut the cat out and replace it with a resonator. whats the best resonates that will kill drone and not kill flow?

I was looking at FTE, guys are saying they are losing boost with them.

saw a post on tdr or cummins forum about a guy who said he put the FTE in and wasn't getting as much boost. just wondering if anyone has any performance issues

Thinking about the interior design and flow through a resonator , I don't see how that will that effect the boost ?

The Cat itself is a great silencer, if you pull it you need even more to keep noise down.
It's a 6 Liter Turbodiesel, they are noisy - that's why the OEM Muffler is such a Barrel.
Keep the noise down is hard work on this power plant.

You have pink noise , white noise and you have Cummins noise . I like it . I dropped the "barrel " years a go and just use the cat . Sounds "*****en" when the jake is on .

Yeah, without any Muffler, just Cat installed it sounds awesome.
Then I installed a MBRP, Sound wash terrible, trashed it after test ride, installed a Flowmaster 50, that is in now but I'm still not to happy with it.

Best sound was 100% with the Muffler Deleted. Pure, fine, Cummins Sound.

I installed the 30" fte resonator, right where the passenger heels would be , there is no drone and it has a deep exhaust tone. I use to run just the cat, it ran away and I installed the fte, and it is quieter.
