Not a fan of the flimsy small mudflaps available at the dealer. Looking for something a little larger and heavier. Not looking for the kind that goes into the receiver hitch. They will spend much of their life on gravel roads. Anyone have something they recommend? This is for a 2018 srw

My Custom DuraFlaps. I raised my rears by 2" since my truck rides lower with factory rear air ride.

Duraflaps. Tell them you’re a TDR member and you get a discount. I have a ‘14 SRW and they cover perfectly. Best mud flaps I’ve ever had.

Dura flap here as well. I washed my truck a few days ago. It was the second full wash in two years. I have a dually and also have n fab steps. I did not have one single rock chip anywhere that needed to be touched up. Truly the best flaps i have ever had. And i do a lot of gravel construction site roads and country roads.

Dura Flaps for the easy win!!!!

They are sturdy and well made, simple to install using high quality hardware, fully customizable and they are backed with top notch customer service by a small company. Also, like other pointed out, TDR members get a discount!!!

seems like Duraflaps is the winner here... That was already my consensus.

How about ice build up during the winter. I've seen them get pretty bad. Anyone taking the flaps off for winter driving?

No, mine don’t come off. I really don’t get much buildup. What little I get, I gently tap the back of the flap with my foot and it falls right off.

On my 01 with the oem ones they could build up but usually a quick kick would take it off. The duraflaps on my new truck don't seem to get near the buildup but when they do again a light kick on the bottom flexible part and it falls away.

so when I bought the WeatherTech mats I installed the rear mud flaps they sell.... what a mistake.... the are easy to mount, easy to clean, and they look great.... BUT their function is very poor... need to be at least 1" wider in the inside and outside of the truck for a total of 2" and at least another 2" longer...

When I wrote them and told them.... how terrible they were for coverage, I'm trying to protect my 5er.... they said they wanted something you didn't have to drill and custom mount.... and nicely told the gal, I didn't buy them for looks, I expected the same protection from my mud flaps I got from my floor mats, which I love....

The OEM flaps are 21.25 Wide and are .25 thick rubber. The do move however and I'm not sure I like that. The OEM flaps that were on my 01 were stiff plastic with a chrome plate attached at the bottom. Those worked good.

Nothing really wrong with the oem except they don't offer as good of coverage. I know on my durfalaps the coverage is quite a bit better

I had forgotten about Duraflaps, and ordered today. Nina at Duraflaps asked me to share that putting your forum member name in comments and then the word member in the coupon code box gets you the 10% discount. Good folks at Duraflaps!
