Towing questions

What kind of hitch do you tow/carrywith?

The receiver that is on my truck right now is some homemade job that was on there when I bought it. I was thinking of going with a Reese class IV, but I wondered what other people are using? Is there any that will bolt up without drilling? Has anyone bought one from Hitch-web.com or hitchsales.com?

I've got a Surepull hitch. Class IV 12,000 weight carrying/ 14,000 weight Distrubuting. Cost $200 less than Reese. Fit factory holes although I did have to ream them out a little larger but no new holes to drill. It seems fairly substantial and I paid $150 for the hitch and a 2 5/16 30,000lb ball that included shipping to my door. Much better than $300+ for everyone else. I found the best price at Arkansas Mobile. I think they can be found on the web or there is an 800#.
Let me know if you need more info

I have a Putnam Class IV on my '93 thats rated at 12,000/1,200. It has served me well since I put it on in '93 - about 30,000 miles of towing. It is a substantial hitch that doesn't show too much below the bumper.

I can't believe that I didn't think of calling them!

I called Torklift today and  !! They said $179 installed for their standard hitch which is rated at 12,000/1,200 weight carrying! Their superhitch is a bit more, but it's rated at 15,000/1,200 weight carrying at the truck and depending on the length of the extension up to 7500 weight carrying and 12,000 weight distributing behind a camper!

My question is answered, thanks guys! :D

I had a reese titan on my old '85 D350 flatbed, and now that that's gone and I have my new truck, it has a titan too. Worth every penny. .
