I had a great time. Hey Scott, I wish I would had seen it in person but there was so much Damn black soot I couldn't see s##t.

Congrats Scott,,,I had a good time I pulled 192 ,I had to back out of the throttle because i was hopping so bad,I had the bump stops all the way down and forgot to strap the axle. .

Yeah Tim, I think I popped the wastegate line off, haven't crawled under her yet, Hope to see you all again in two weeks up in Yreka.

Dan: mental checklist :D

good job BBD... i must have been siting by all the d max guys in the stands cause they all got wooded with the first duramax. i told em his lead wouldent last long with that big red dodge coming up. and sure enough... . makes me wish i had more money so i could get my truck in there sooner... looking forward to the next pull...

Good Job everyone,

JUSTIN

That first Dmax was my wife's (Kat) daily driver, Big Blue. I was driving. It was set up for 7500lb Street class. It pulled the furthest out of the "street mod" trucks as far as we know. Very little is done to that truck. It just had the right tires and a long wheelbase.

Scott's truck and Kat's normally do not run in the same class.

PS - If any other Street Mod trucks were discouraged with the event, please drop an email to John Shipman Motorsports at -- email address removed -- .

With 19 entries, they certainly could have split into 2 classes, street mod and Extreme. That is pretty much SOP for diesel pulls in the US and Canada. And without an 8500 weight limit class, duallies could not compete either.

They even charged kids of the pullers $20 each to sit in the stands. Plus you had to pay again to get them in the fair to boot.

I had a GREAT time, but if you don't put your input into the organizers, they do not know how it went for the pullers.

Yep, Dodge ruled the roost Saturday. Even the Ford's needed to run a Cummins to compete! :-laf

Not sure if I would call them "jerks", but it certainly wasn't "diesel friendly". We didn't even have a Diesel Class, it was 8000lb Unlimited. Someone could have brought a twin engine blown alcohol tube chassis truck and entered.

that was pretty bad *** ford. best one i'v ever seen :-laf

is there a list of the cali pulls somwere? i would like to plan the next trip so i can hang out with u guys... i had to leave early to be home before midnight...

We invaded Applebee's shortly after diesels ran. Then we herded the animals to the Best Western and caused trouble till 4 am.

The BIG pull for western diesels will be Sept 24 at Los Angeles County Raceway in Palmdale CA. We should have a great showing for this Diesel Only event.

i new u would all be having fun while i was driving home :( ... i think iv been to the LA one. . will people be camping at that one? ill bring my trailer and stay for the party! :-laf i dont think ill have my truck ready though... maybe ill pull anyway. ( and finish of that clutch) do they run a 1/4 mile up there for the diesels?

We will have the DHRA finals (diesel drags) that weekend along with the sled pull. I believe there will be a show-n-shine, overnight parking, etc.

Next diesel drag event there is Sept 3. See www.lacr.net and look at the annual calendar.

hey were thankful to have diesels in the class. YOu should have seen us about 3 years ago begging to get to pull at all. The more the merrier. When they get so many damn diesels that we outnumber them then I am sure it will make them cater to use more but untill then. Be thankful you got to pull... ... ... ... .
