Yea, jtisdale, should we tell them about a blue truck with stacks, shooting beer cans out, and a blonde trying to catch them?

:-laf Yeah, I kinda forgot about that. :D

Attendance was ~3700 Saturday ~ 2100 Sunday, the truck count was WAY higher than years before. We still have a lot of counting to do.

I am currently working on the dates for next year, no comment on location as I need to do some serious thinking about that. I LOVE it here in Muncie, but the golden gates of IRP are calling, we'll see. I will let everyone know as soon as I know.
Where would the pulling take place?

My truck has betrayed me. I've always been a Miller Lite drinker, but it seems my truck prefers Guiness, it didnt want to give that one up. :D

Eric... ... ... what does that mean? IRP or Muncie???????????????????????????????????

. . Preston. .

That means it might be THUNDER IN INDY within the next year or so.

... not to mention the dieselheads could say they competed in an event at Indy Raceway Park! WAY COOL!

BUT... . I'm sure the Indy police won't be so lenient with displays of power on the local streets. That downside is adequately countered by the prestige of Indy IMO. Would probably go a long way to making diesel motorsports competitions even more "legitimate" in the motorsport press. Maybe we can get some TV coverage of the finals next year. Saying they're at IRP would certainly open some doors.

Eric...

I can only hope that you address the issues I brought to your attention on the chance you decide on IRP as a place for this show. After how I seen the City of Indianapolis and their law enforcement officers treat the Mopar Owners who went their for the nations biggest show(after it was moved there due to it over running National Trail Raceway) it may not be in your best interest. Indy and its enforcement officers WILL NOT allow a Lee's Inn style environment off the fairgrounds and I'd bet money on record number of arrests. Part of the fun of this show is the goings on after hours and that will be lost which in the long run will have those not wanting to return. Your show, your choice.

With what I seen in size for this show,in both competitors and spectators, two options could be considered here for a possible move. One would be move it more centrally located into the middle of the nation, like St. Louis(which has Gateway International). It would allow for more of the west coasters to show and more of the west coast based vendors to travel East. The second would be to move "Thunder" into different geographic locations each year. There are plenty of venues and fairgrounds to hold such a show... ... ... . Andy
