How Heavy is Too Heavy??

I bolted two 2" square tubes across the I-Beams and bolted a 4' receiver tube to them. The problem is that the TT does not have much of a suspension to speak of so the bikes bounce really hard. I have cosmetically ruined 4 bikes over a short period of time. Right now, I use pipe insulation (secured with a small piece of duct tape to prevent them from falling off) on the bike frame areas that appear to potentially rub. I also found a bolt on part from Cabelas that enables me to strap the bikes to a lower bar. This had significantly helped prevent the bikes from banging against each other.

I have a concept on the design board right now. I expect to have a working model by November and have it in production by Mar. '04. I will be working on legalities and marketing while the design is run through testing. I should have several units ready for testing by Jan. '04 that I would like to get out into the real world for feedback. If you are interested in a bike carrier that provides shock absorption, PM me and I will keep you posted.

Hardcore

Nah, just different. The guys that WIN in any class are Hardcore. Tsali is a pretty easy course for SS. Helen, GA now that's a BEEEOtch. It rained and I bailed. Tsali IS the best course I've seen for tandems.

RnR, you just need titanium bikes.

LOL, yeah titanium with a Line-X coating would probably work best!

The problem is that, the pyschic that my sister went to told her that her brother would be very rich someday. So I have to keep looking

R&R, let me know when you get protos done. One thing we've looked for is wider arms, because lots of folks with tandems want to carry them on standard carriers. Can be done with a wider vehicle, but the problem has been the added leverage that a longer frame and more weight create. I'd be interested in testing one, and possibly putting it on our website/store.

BTW, Helen is a tough course wet or dry, ss or geared. I remember some of the NORBA nationals and a world cup there that were mudfests. Some of the course took some doing to even walk.

Now spray-on liners might be cool for the downtube!
