2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission block heater plug

For sometime I have been thinking of doing something about this thing. I know that Genos sells one that is adaptable to the bumper opening.

A few days ago I was in a marine store and found the answer. Its an onboard charger inlet made by MARINCO assembled in Mexico from USA parts. P/N 150BBI ,25. 00 $ CDN. I have s. s. grill inserts over the fog lights so I drilled a 1 7/8 hole . It is mounted either by three screws or a large nut on the back. Its made of black plastic and a rubber boot over the back . Oo. Oo.

I'm using one of these, without the thermostat.

The indicator lights are nice when the GFCI outlet trips. Was about $90 from Peterbilt.

Any parts store for semis will have those heater pluggin outlets, and if you don't need all the bells and whistles, they are generally around $20. They are far better than a dangling, ice-packed, vulnerable cord.

Auto Eject

I have a Kussmaul Auto Eject I keep meaning to install. Just havent done it yet. I'd like to run two plugs off of it. One inside the cab, to put a small space heater in, to keep the cab warm. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I like that idea!! I always thought a multiple a/c center for powering a block heater, magnetic oil pan heater, and, now that YOU thought of it, an inner cab heater, would be great for all these sub-zero days and nights that have no respect for Al Gore's Nobel.
