Gooseneck vs 5th Wheel hitch setup

Can somebody tell me if there is a blue wire for the electric break controller under the dash? If so where might that be? 2007. 5 ¾ 4x4 6. 7.

If it has one, and it probably does, it will be included in a 4 wire set with a receptacle on the end and is usually rolled up somewhere above the brake pedal near the fire wall. Did you find the piogtail to go with it in the glove box when the truck was new? bg

BG, thanks for the info I will check for a connector/pigtail, I was looking for a loose wire like on my Ford. I had nothing in the glove box that indicated anything about the electric "BRAKE" (spelled right this time). Thanks for the help, I will let you know what I find.

If you don't find your pigtail, some of the internet dealers will send one with a controller (if you order for a specific truck) or will charge very little for it. Your manual might give you a picture of where it plugs up. If not, it will give directions, so grab your Mag Lite and "hunt ferim". (That's coon hunter language for "hunt for him!")(No, I don't coon hunt!) You know, though, if you don't get a Maxbrake or Brakesmart that you will be a second class citizen on TDR (like me)!!!! LOL!! Mark

Don't the newer trucks have the plug allredy wired in? On my older truck The wire was in the main wire harnes by the Em brake, but I had to hunt for it.

I thought the truck had to be ordered with the trailer tow package for it to be there? Usually it's tucked up under there pretty good. If I remember right, it took me over an hour to find it in my truck. It was kind of hidden on top of one of the large wiring bundles under the dash and behind the steering column.

on my 06 there is a 4 pin connector below fuses ,above your left foot. I bought pigtail wire to connect to controller. or you could read the manual,it tells you where it is. good luck.

Under the dash to the left above the E-Brake there will be a location where the 4-Wire pigtail will plug in. Every 3/4 and 1Ton comes already Pre-Wired for a brake controller. If you don't have a pigtail for the truck you can get one at any NAPA,Carquest, or RV Dealer. Let me know if you need any more info.
