witching water well-- electronically

Well it finally happened. On June 1st I got married.

We took the truck for ~1000 miles of Colorado beauty. She likes the truck more now that she's had some time riding around in it. She likes that fact that it sits up high enough that you can actually see things as you drive.

She's a great woman. She even let me use my pole on the trip (FISHING pole, perverts :p ). I'm teaching her how to fish. Her first cast she caught a 13" rainbow trout. I think that is a good sign for the marriage!!! :cool: :D :D

Oh those women

Congrat to you and the bride :)

just celebrated 24yrs yesterday ;)

now let's just pray the fires go out :( man it looks bad

Bob,

Congrats!!!!Oo.

I promise the fires had nothing to do with the honeymoon activities!!! ;)

Actually, it is pretty bad around here. Pretty much all fireworks displays have already been cancled for July 4, and they're starting to close forest areas so that, hopefully no more will be started by stupid people. As of 5:00pm today (6/12/02) the Hayman fire, the one that is close to Denver, has burned 90,000 acres. :{ :{ :{ :{

It was started by an already banned campfire. #@$%! #@$%! #@$%! #@$%!

90,000 acre is just unbelieveable :( :(

The same thing happened here(on a smaller scale) and 4 firefighter lost their lives do to some idiot not puting out an ILLEGAL campfire to cook hot dogs :mad: :mad: :mad:

Colorado looks tinder dry :(

Colorado looks tinder dry :(

That's almost like saying that the Titanic had a little oops.

Today they said that it looks like it will take 70-90 days to get the fire near Denver contained (not out, just contained).

My interpretation: When fall gets here we will be able to do something with this.

It is advancing at a rate of ~500 acres an hour. That means in 3 months it will be.....

And Wyoming thought they were safe. :( ;)

Something else that I thought of today. We are already in a drought requiring water restrictions. The helicopters are taking water from lakes to drop on the fires. My math looks like this:

very little water- some water = I'm thirsty. :{ :{
