Problem!

I just purchased an Auto Meter boost guage, and now I'm stuck in the middle of my install. The description in the Geno's catalog said a "RLT boost bolt is included for all 98. 5 and up installations".

Is this the same "boost bolt" I hear of that is needed for 3gen'ers?

Thanks for the help fellas

These are the parts that are leftover, nothing fits into the bolt that I took out on the manifold.

It is the same bolt that the third genners use, you don't have one in that picture. What you do have is the three pieces closed to the bottom. That is a 1/4" or 1/8" NPT (can't tell from the pic) fitting that your boost tubing will attach to. All you have to do is drill and tap a hole in the intake horn to screw it in.

or buy the bolt, right? which in a sense I did, Geno's just didn't include it.

Thanks for the help

Or buy the bolt, if you don't mind waiting. I've never purchased any gauges from Geno's so I don't know if it's a standard item that comes with the gauge. I can't imagine they would send both the bolt and the compression fitting, you only need one or the other

I've purchased gauges from Geno's and from Diesel Manor, neither include the boost bolt as "standard equipment" with an order. On my last Diesel Manor gauge order, I specified the boost bolt as a separate item. If I recall, it was $18. 00, but it was worth it since it makes for a real clean and slick install. Just my $. 02.

;)

I've ordered 2 boost gauges from Geno's, both came with a boost bolt. It is possible they forgot to pack one with your order.

GEnos gave me a boost bolt with my Bost Gauge ,,

Piers is $18

Im going to start selling them for alot less than $18

What years are the boost bolt good for ??

Boost bolts are included with the boost gauges from Genos. Did you try to call Geno's? I am sure it was accidentally left out of the package.

yep, I will give them a call and see what happened. There was a ton of packaging in the box and didn't see a thing besides the gauge box.

X Give them a call I bet they send you one at no charge. If you want I have one here you can have, and you can give me your's when it shows up.

I called Geno's and they said the boost bolt is only included if requested (that's not what the catalog said, but oh well)

They said they would ship one to me this afternoon at no charge.

Thanks again.

I always talk to andy when i order from them, They inluded the boost bolt with my gauges and when there was a mix-up(sent me a transmission temp gauge instead of a FP gauge) They were quick to accept responsibiliy and over nighted me a FP gauges and sent me a ups shipping label to ship the other guage back, No charge. I give them an A+

is it a different boost bolt for an '05 vs and '03.

Michael - it's not screwing in, but the bolts match up perfectly. I must be running low on elbow grease!

I ordered the autometer guages and forgot to ask for the bamgo bolt but Geno's included it because it was necessary for the install.

We now include the boost bolt when you purchase our ISSPRO complete kit for a 24 Valve Cummins RAM. We have changed the kit a few months ago, adding all sotrs of accessories for the installation.
