boost elbow below turbo

i was told i can plug this hole below the turbo housing and not put the brass elbow in when i install the torque plate..... Any one plug the hole and is there any long term consequences if i do it? should i stick the elbow in

Why not install the fittings they sent with cam plate. More boost only works with more fuel. If you only have enough fuel for 28-30 pounds of boost 45 lbs won't do anything more for you but probably shorten engine life.

I ran an experiment & disconnected the line to the wastegate, which has the same affect as plugging that hole. Here @ 5k' elevation, there was no difference, 32psi max boost. Down @ near sea level, 38psi.

Boy was I around that Accord lots faster. Seat of the pants said there was a difference too. #ad
I wondered why the rear end was more squirrely than before. #ad
Needless to say, I enjoyed the 5th gear passing, big time & less smoke. #ad

Forrest you got the fuel and exhaust flow to handle the extra boost. You should evan be more impressed with the turbo housing change also.
