Boost guage ?

Leaning on going with the AutoMeter Phantom guages. Dealer says he can only get the 0 to 35 psi in the white face with the black ring. Is that enough range for a 555 with a Predator or EZ a little later? Thanks, doc

It may be... i thought I read somewhere that the ECM will start defueling the motor at 27-28 psi.

You can get a 60 psi Phantom from Diesel Dynamics (but it has their logo on it). Someone else has mentioned they are available elsewhere without the DD logo, but I haven't seen it.

Probably not enough range if there is any "more later". The ECM defueling will not happen if your box has a boost fooler which virtually all of them do. I have seen boost pressures as high as 38 psi with just the TST on my ETC 03.

I can peg out my Phantom Series boost gauge anytime with the EDGE EZ and the boost elbow. If you are going to remain stock, the 0-35 will be fine. May as well ante up and get the higher reading one now instead of later, especially if future BOMB's are down the road.

gs. . does the boost elbow come with the EDGE EZ? If not how much does it cost and what does it do? Will the boost go over 35 with just the EZ? Thanks, Doc

The EDGE EZ does come with the boost elbow. I'm estimating the boost gauge goes to 37 or 38 psi... . I run out at 30 psi.
