The problem with the K&N air filter system I found, is that the oil used in the filter gets sucked out and into the turbo making the filter a good rock guard. All the displays we see at the parts store show a k&n flowing more that a conventional paper type filter. The k&n does not have any oil in it. Oil the filter and then see which one flows better. After using the filter for 10,000 miles and finding this out I installed a Bhaf (napa #2790) and an outerwares water repellant pre filter ( in your choice of colors). The setup works great and the air filters are about half the cost af a K&N.
