Checked all my air hose clamps/air intake, intake manifold bolts, sprayed soapy water, etc... ... Even sat my stupid arse in the engine bay with the hood up with my buddy going 45 and all I could hear was the air filter(Very Loud:eek: ) When you are in the truck it sounds like it is coming from the top drivers side of the engine. Thanks, Alex

Get a 4" section of hose and at least 2 clamps. You need a 3" PVC end cap. You need a tire valve. Drill the cap for the tire valve and install. Remove your intake hose and install the cap where the intake hose mounts. Then pressurize the system. Use a regulator in the air hose you use and set it for 10 to 15 PSI. Then listen for the leaks and use the soapy water.

No need for a under hood ride then.

Up here you would have had about a -60 degree wind chill. That leads to all sorts of things getting frost bitten. :-laf :-laf

There's nothing more exilerating, or maybe dumb, is setting right next to a turbo charged engine at WOT, and being pulled down, watching all the boost lines swell up, the fan spinning like crazy, and noisy as heck... ... ..... ahhh the life of a diesel mechanic.

Sorry, can't bring anything else to your topic. ;)

What are you hearing Alex? Are you sure you are not just hearing the rush of air going into the turbo? It sounds like a swooooosh at certain RPMs.

I just saw your other post, let me think a bit on it. Did you check your boost line that goes from the intake to the pump? Some have cracked that line before here or some like me have forgotten to tighten it down. It is possibe that the diaphram burst on the fuel pin? Does sound like a boost leak, maybe pin holes in the intercooler?
