Hey guys, I just got the truck in my sig. I think it has at least a 6" lift on it. The steering is off quite a bit. I know this due to the fact I drove it all the way back from Wenatchee, WA. Had to fight with the steering wheel to keep it on the road. Need to look at the front end and possible alignment. After i get that fixed I am looking at possible EV2 gauges and dash mount. What are you guys using for gauges? how do you like them? Also, what are some good tube steps to get as I do not have any on the truck at all?

I have a brand new set of Waag, black powder coated, wheel to wheel, made for quadcab, that I have never installed because I found out I will not be able to easily go under the truck without using a jack. So I never installed those. They came with a really heavy duty brackets that use existing holes on the frame and all the hardware. I should list those in the classifieds. I'll be a pain to ship though as they are one-piece.
For gauges, I like the Isspro I have. And I like having a mechanical fuel pressure gauge with isolator and anti freeze going to the cab instead of diesel fuel.
I like the Autometer Z series that Genos sell. I just ordered one for the transmission temp and I'll have it by the shifter.
Congrats on the truck. They are good trucks.

where at

ILIAN, where did you get the steps you are talking about? I have not been able to find one piece steps. Info would be great.

I bought the at Waag, in Van Nuys, CA. They must still be located there. I did not want a 2 pc. I have a friend who has those and it's not good, always loosen up, vibrate, he bought Waag, and that's how I saw them. I like them a lot, but I will not be able to crawl under the truck easily for maintenance. Look up Waag accessories and should come up.

Hi Dan, I just drove a truck from So Cal up to Washington :-laf Funny how you can never find the truck you want in your own area.

Two trucks ago I had Autometer Sport Comp II gauges mounted on the dash with the dash pod. I liked the location, the install is a pain and the pod doesn't secure down real well as it comes from Autometer and mine often came loose and got hit by stuff sliding across the dash. The backlighting was too bright too but I maybe could have remedied that with a resistor inline.

Last truck I had GlowShift's Diesel 3-in-1 gauge, and I liked it quite well and that's what I'm putting in the '98. 5 I just bought. Can't beat the price and like having boost, pyro and fuel pressure in one gauge (can also do boost, pyro and oil temp). Attached a pic of the GlowShift, it's kinda washed out by the flash in the pic.

dash or a pillar

I am not sure whether I want to do the dash or a pillar mount. I had an '05 that I used the dash mount on and was a royal pain to install. I like the a pillar better. I just wish I could get a 4 gauge mount like the Furd mount. i have also been thinking about something like the Edge CS/CTS. But that is pretty spendy.
