2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake Fluid Swapout.......

Do I just open one bleeder at a time until the new fluid is coming out? Does it matter if the truck is on a slight hill or not? Or should I do the down hill side first then turn the truck around?

Just read a post by illflem about using a vacuum bleeder? Where do I get one and how does it work? or can i just gravity bleed the system one at a time?

You could gravity bleed them one at a time, but personally I think a pressure bleeder is the way to go. They are not all that expensive and if you do your own brake work, I think they are well worth the money.

Thank you. I did the gravity bleed and it worked pretty good. The pressure bleeder is on my "to get" list. That would have been much easier and I am sure more thourough.

I have a vacuum pump but wish I had a pressue bleeder. I usually vacuum out the reservoir and refill and then bleed at each wheel.



A lot of people never ever touch the brake fluid.
