Having trouble finding front driver side brake hose for 97 2500. Dealer says oem part no longer available and spent way to much time at NAPA searching for part. The hose has 2 lines that connect to it,any help would really be appreciated. Thanks Packmule.

Yes tried Autozone checker CarQuest and a couple of locals not having any luck matching the brake hose, if you have a part number that would help. Thanks

Assuming from your signature that this is a 2wd truck, if so Carquest lists 2 different LF brake hoses for trucks equipped with 2 wheel ABS.

One with a mounting bracket and one without. There is stock of either one here in Maine.

If you have 4 wheel ABS then that may be your issue, no stock here in Bangor on that one.

Let me know if you want part numbers.

On Edit. . Napa has stock on all three choices.

Please provide whether the truck is 2wd or 4wd. also if it has 2 wheel or 4 wheel ABS.

I will provide you a NAPA part number to go shopping with... They should have been able to figure this out for you.

Mwilson thanks for the help it is 4 wheel drive with AbS, went to NAPA did all the configurations we could think of 2wd 4wd w ABS w/0 abs and different years and even the vin number at the dealer ship without any luck. Just cannot match a picture with what I have 2 lines coming in from the top of the hose. I appreciate the help let me know if you do come up with a part number.

GOlsen I will look in rockauto for the hose, maybe I am a bit to stubborn but I would like to have the part number, thanks for the suggestion Packmule.

One brake line hooks in at the very top and the other line goes in the side of the top fitting, we assume that yours is that way also.

Look at the link that B. G. Smith has posted above, you can see that there is a top and a side inlet on the big end of the hose. The distinction is usually whether or not there is a bracket made to it.

I'll try to go to the parking lot here in a bit and get you a picture of mine.

Mike. :)

Forgot the picture last night, have the new truck this morning.

So we used an employee's 3/4 ton gasser for the photo shoot this morning.

This shows the two lines going into the top, with some Maine Calcium/Rust buildup on it.

Does this look like yours???

Mike. :)

If that picture looks like yours I just bought one at NAPA. 3/8 fitting on the line sticking to the left, 9/16 on the top. PN 380747 I can give you a picture if you need it.

Yep that is the ugly part I was looking for thanks all for the help, as usual the guys on TDR come through in the end THANKS again Packmule... . ordered the part.
