Hey Ya'll,
I have a 99' Quad cab, with the 5-speed manual. I am having a problem with my brake lights. For some reason they just come on when they want too. I know there is a switch that tells them to turn on or off. I got down there and looked around and found a piece of wood taped to the top of the brake pedal arm. So, What appears to be happening is the brake pedal is not returning to it's original location. While driving I have to pull the pedal up with my foot every now and then to keep the lights off. Any bosy had this problem? How can I fix it? As a add on I bought the truck used last October. Everything looks okay, not bent or anything. . Is there some kind of spring that brings the pedal back to it's original posistion?? Wood and duck tape aren't working any more!!
