I'm about to replace the brake lines on my 01 2500. I'm replaceing the three lines from the ABS module to the distribution blocks on the frame and the rear line from the distribution block to the rear end. For any of you that have already done this, do you know the fitting size? It almost looks to me the rear line fittings may be a different size than the lines from the ABS module. However this is looking under the truck in the dark with a flashlight. Getting this information up front would save me a lot of guessing and multiple trips to the auto parts store.....

I know the MC has metric thread. I did a bench blead and bought a short line at the auto parts store. 1st store sold me a english thread, so I went to store 2 with the MC in hand... got the correct metric line.

Through the school of hard knocks, the are numerouse fitting sizes on these brake lines. The main lines from the frame to the rear are standard US thread. The RF is standard US Thread. Now the fun part. From the ABS module to the junction blocks on the frame are all different top and bottom (6 different fittings). It gets better. The flare at the ABS module is a bubble flare. At the junction block, a standard double wall flare. You have to make them. Save your fittings and don't ruin them taking them off. I sprayed penatrating oil on everything for a couple days before pulling it apart.

i am about to replace my brake lines due to a rusting brakeline that ruptured. amazing for a 9 year old truck in southeast Virginia where we don't get much snow.
Has anyone converted the rear drum brakes to disc? what product did you buy and what did it cost and what other components do you need to replace during this process?
