Once in a while i noticed my brake lights are still on and the peddle is still depressing the the little switch back there... . Im going to try to throw some lube on the switch to see if it helps... . anyone have this issue before???

My guess would be to adjust the location of the switch so that it does not contact the peddle. I vaguely remember having to do this on one of my trucks. also check to see that the peddle is returning all the way.

The switch is on the backside of the pedal. The switch is a normally closed switch. Which means, when the pedal is at rest, no pressure, it will contact the switch and opening the contacts. The pedal is not returning all the way back. Check the return spring, make sure it is still there and not broken. If it is returning all the way back, push the pedal down and push the switch forward towards the pedal arm. Let the pedal return, it will push the switch back in the bracket, this is where it should stay. If it doesn't, replace the switch.

When this happens, go under the hood and pull the power steering res cap off. If the brake lights go off, do a search on my post for vent repair.

I did notice the shaft going into the brake booster on the engine side was a little wet... like it is seeping fluid?????? have to look into that

I did have the same issue with my truck same year and model. I was able to clean the switch. I do find it to be intrusting about the PS cap/vent comment. I also just had to change out my gear box out to the larger mopar one. Maybe that was the issue to begin with.
