I was getting set to wash mud off the underside of my truck & noticed a line by the rear axel I was not familiar with. It's in the attached image. Can any one tell me what it is & where it's supposed to be attached?
 
looks like the rear axle vent line. I am not sure of the original tie location but, I'd tie it up high where it is out of water spray.

I just changed my shocks out this afternoon to new Bilstien's. While wrenching on the rear driver side upper shock mount I noticed my axel vent tube clipped to the top of the frame rail. If your clip is missing you can attach it anywhere high and dry. Hope this helps you out.

With the lift you have I doubt you will be able to put it as high as it was originally unless you put on a new longer hose, just leave enough slack for the truck to rebound. bg
