Alternate Trailer Tires P205/74/R14 Load C?

Klenger, I looked at your pictures yesterday and it looks like it's 12X10. I'm sure it's metric, and the one I got is SAE.

Thanks Klenger. I tried every place in town without any luck, so I guess Grizzley was right, I had to call Brake Smart and order one.

According to their website, you can also buy the Brakesmart at Mr. Truck. They don't list the price (at least on my quick look I didn't see it) just a number to call with your order.

"BrakeSmart, the best trailer brake controller BrakesSmart!"

I purchased the BrakeSmart from Mr. Truck last Monday. I received it on Wednesday and installed it on Thursday. I can't say how well it works yet because I haven't hooked up the 5er. They also go by the name of TransWest and are located near Denver. With shipping, they were $20 cheaper then Dr. Performance in Weatherford, TX. The new BrakeSmart does not have the calendar and clock any longer.

And I thought it was me on the date & clock issue. I tried a couple of times and gave up. I was going to call Dr Performance, guess I don't have to now.

I'm disappointed that they deleted the clock and calendar because the clock on my 05 Dodge is dimly lighted and hard to read. I called Dr. Performance and they said that they deleted the clock and calendar because the people that make the module for it quit making it. They conveniently forgot to reduce the price though.

I purchased a Brakesmart from Dr. Performance back in December. I found their phone response time and shipping practices to be superior. They shipped the Brakesmart when they said they would and it arrived when they stated it would. I did have a proplem in that the adapter block was not in the packaging as it should have been. I called Dr. Performance the next day and they next day aired one to me. I am a mechanic and find the product to be of high quality and it works exactly as it should. I find the trailer brake response with the Brakesmart to be very linear and smooth. I had upgraded from a Prodigy and had found that with the Prodigy I could feel notchness in brake response when towing heavy. When towing a smaller lighter trailer this was not evident. I very much like the fact that the Brakesmart is fully adjustable and when I was doing my research found that none of the direct competition where the controller actually used a sensor tied into the brake system sensing your pedal input offered the same. I conceed that the Brakesmart is pricey, however it does do an excellent job. I can't put a price on the safety of my family or the safety of others on the road afforded by superior electric brake operation. Our pickups are very small vehicles when it comes to towing vehicles of the weight and mass of our larger fifth wheels and tow behind trailers. I am of the opinion that any added measure of safety when towing large and heavy is of great value. I highly recommend the Brakesmart and Dr. Performance, I have found their product and service to be superior. I also like the fact that their product is American made.

I can't say my purchase was as pleasant, however it works as advertised. They no longer have the direct plug-in and the instructions are not complete, as far as the trouble-shooting goes. I had a trailer brake failure in the trailer side of the plug and though it warned me there was no trouble code for the message except there was a problem. When I went into the trouble shooting side of the manual, I was disappointed in it. But it does work as promised and I would buy it again.
