Who has had a fuel solenoid bracket crack at the mounting bolt? on your 12 valve. Needed to service and clean the solenoid and found that the bracket had cracked at the AFC cover.
I guess this could be a Cummins repair part. right?

Next time I have the laptop fired up I will look that up for you. It should be a Cummins item. I just won't be able to check stock at the factory until Monday.

That is one thing with Mike, he is always there to help. I personally do not need any ( with the truck that is :D ) but I would still like to thank him for all he does.

I only come up with one bracket on the Cummins side, BUT that does not mean that there is not a choice of two on the Dodge side of things. There is a parts topic and several supercessions of the shut-off solenoid itself but can find nothing regarding the bracket.
Bob 4x4 may offer some more info from the Dodge side.

I come up with a Cummins part number of 3919452 that should sell for about $45.00 to $50.00 bucks. No stock at any Cummins Northeast locations so will have to check factory stock Monday.

In the many part number changes I do see at one point that it went to a kit, so maybe a newer bracket was supplied with that kit.

I have indicated the old number and the new number on the attached chart, the asterix indicates a kit.

So once the shut off was replaced the first time the bracket changed as well is a possible explanation....

Thanks Dave, I just learn so much from this site that I like to contribute when I can.

I have a lot of info at my disposal so it is very easy to do.

Mike.

Seems to me that around 1999 the replacement solenoid was changed and the it would come with the newer bracket. If your solenoid has never been changed the new bracket wont fit. After this long I would bet that it is not the original though.

Had a minute this morning so did a little more searching. Geno's has solenoid and bracket for $110.00.

I'm afraid that the Cummins bracket offered will be the old style. It would be to bad to pay $50.00 for a bracket and then find out that you have the newer fuel shutoff and the bracket won't work.

I would advise a customer to buy the shut off kit in this circumstance.

Mike.

I really appreciate all you guys jumping in this way, with all this information. your all so helpful. Thanks mike for your help with the chart. I am the original owner so it is all stock from manufe date, never been changed and the solenoid works great. Just have to clean it occasionally. It was a clean break, don't know why. I have bridged it for now with a piece of steel to keep it in tolerance. $ 50.00??? for that piece. Maybe the manual shut off looks better all the time. I could rig that up from parts I have laying around.

Now isn't that wearied. "Solenoid" in my post is highlighted. Its attached to Amazon and solenoids

Larry"B" (Fostertruck) has these parts at a a good price. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

When a bigger solenoid was offered, it was in conjunction with a thicker bracket. I have one or two of the original brackets in good shape if you need one. Email me, -- email address removed -- if so.
