I got my Buckstop front bumper mounted. This is one heavy duty bumper. The design and build quality are very good. Buckstop even put three holes in the top for my off-road lights at no additional charge. The only gripe I have is that the sharp edges were not smoothed. Mine was ordered non coated. I took a sander and file to mine to make it more knuckle friendly. A local powder coater finished the bumper in a high gloss high durability black.

I also built my own custom rear bumper from 3. 5 x 3. 5 x 3/16 square tubing. It is a double stack design with 1 x 1. 25 spacer blocks. I built the mounting plates from 8" channel iron. I had it finished in the same black powder coat as the front. If someone hits this thing hard enough to bend it, I would hate to see their vehicle.

I will try to get some pics posted after I get all of the lights mounted.

By the way, the take off bumpers from the truck are for sale. I put an add in the classified section. It should be out there on Monday.

Get some pictures posted ASAP! I can hardly wait. My Buckstop should arrive next week. I have an M15000 waiting to drop into it!

I ordered mine powder coated with the steel gray (suppose to match the driftwood paint fairly well). Hopefully, the sharp edges will be taken care of. I always thought that it was the paint or powder coat shop that did the final sanding?

The Dodge is $1299 fully loaded - grill guard, frenched light buckets for 6" lights, winch access door, tow hooks, trailer receiver, winch ready, license plate bracket, and two coat powder coating!

The rear is $449 ($399 when ordered with the front) and features 3/16" steel construction , 4 1/2" light openings, polished aluminum diamond plate step pads, and powder coat finish. This unit mounts to your factory mounts with out drilling or welding.

BuckStop!

BuckStop Bumper! :--)

I just received my BuckStop Bumper today and aside from the shipping/receiving guy being a little upset, I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest bumpers that I have ever seen! It was extremely well packed, and easily maneuvered for anyone with a forklift. :D BuckStop obviously has the tooling and knowledge to produce a superior accessory (from what I now admit) at an extraordinary low price! The powder coat finish was "flawless" with all edges being smooth and well shaped. All brackets, accessory door, and the inside of the bumper maintained the same quality finish. The included tow hooks match the strength of the Mopar ones. Due to an extremely busy schedule, I probably won't get to the installation right away, but when I do, I will definitely post the pictures!

I'll show you mine if you show me yours David!! Seriously though, a couple of supporting pictures during the install as well as the final ones would be good to see/share here. I'm counting the days for my own UTE!! BTW, what will you do with the original reinforced tinfoil? :D

John-

I will definitely show you mine! ;) I will submit lots of installation pictures in the reader's rigs section when I get the time (Steve St. also has plenty in his). Just the two mounting brackets (one side has got to be a square foot by itself) are a work of art. The wife made me remove them from the dining room table. :D The removable grill guard, when standed end to end, will not flex at all even with my modest weight being applied. I'm really impressed with the overall finish quality, and believe me, this thing isn't just made for looks..... :D I've also got the 6" PIAA lights to intall along with the Warn Winch.

Look forward to seeing your UTE as well as I never was able to located a decent picture of it. Maybe they will post your truck over at their site just as Rickson does.

As far as the original tin foil, JWhitcomb has already claimed the Smittybilt brush guard but I really haven't decided what to do with the slightly tweeked OEM yet.
