ol ron: even though i agree with most of your comments i must take issue with your wanting to downplay what she did. it's a big leap from relief of anxiety to trying to call in a script. if this were the 60's i would have thought you were using what we called in those days "situation ethics". she was wrong- period !!!!!! credit to the family. i voted for jeb before and will again. he is a man of his word as it related to freedom of choice for florida bikers. however, his daughter has to be dealt with as any other person. will that happen ? i hope so ! bruce

Powerwagon you seem to enjoy playing politics as evident in your daily posts. That's all this is. Politics and a bit of comic relief. I'll give you credit for one thing. You're a master at distorting the facts or creating your own. I don't think you're intentionally dishonest, just in need of an occasional reality check. Some things just can't be justified.



Funny how someone's point becomes "irrelevant" or "not note worthy" when you have no sensible argument to counter it. When your argument amounts to "what's your point", I know to expect a rash of criticism and name calling. All part of the game.

I see your point 100% and I see the same inconsistancy. I hear Rush spew forth his selective truths several times a week. I also look up his inconsistancies on the net from time to time to see if I'm the only one who hears them. Your point is well taken here.

I'm trying to become less stressed by the whole political game. Both sides are guilty of some sin or another. Chelsea Clinton turned out ok as far as we know and beleave me, Rush Limbaugh would be all over it if she even sneezed wrong. She had, according to the right wing extremists, the worst parents a child could possibly have. The absolute worst moral example given and lies and corruption to boot. Yet Chelsea is apparently ok.

On the other hand, the Bush family, who stand for family values, truth, ethics, and leadership, seem to have trouble with drugs and alcohol. Not to mention Columba Bush's arrest for smuggling goods past the customs inspectors a coulple of years ago.

The Bush boys are also well accustomed to "insider trading" as it is known.

I see the headlines for one and the downplay for the other. My addiction to stress meds hasn't made me totally blind...

We need to have both sides constantly digging for dirt. Otherwise, we're in the dark. It's why we have freedom of speech. So our elected officials aren't hidden behind a veil.

If we keep our dirt diggers well employed, we will always have a better idea of what's going on behind the scenes.

I like both Bush brothers but, if they're guilty of any wrong doing, I want to know about it. That goes for any publicly elected official.

When the press mentions Limbaugh, they call him that "Conservative radio host. "

Go look in your local paper, most of them have a section dealing with arrests. In all probability, over the course of a month, there will be at least one robbery, one assault and one murder... or at least suspects arrested for these felonies.



I promise you, not one of those will make the national news.



So why does Noelle Bush?



One reason, and one reason only... To try to embarrass the governor and president named Bush. Which, apparently, must be your motive. I'm just pointing it out by making observations about the apparent relevance of your post...

Actually, Rush Limbaugh makes a point of NOT talking about Chelsea Clinton or even Al Gore's kids, when they got in trouble. Or did everyone forget already? And what's this nonsense about Rush? He's far more accurate, fair, and clear than the news generally is. He has his viewpoints, but has never claimed he IS NOT biased. The press is, and claims it isn't. Which is more honest?



They aren't fair game. They are not politicians, they did not run for office, and they probably don't want to be "public" people. None of you have seen mere here slamming Clinton over his brother's problems, or ranting about Hillary's brother's problems. I have never, ever commented on Chelsea Clinton or any of the other of the family members of other political families - specifically not the children. Of course, the left-leaning individuals instantly scream accusations this is a right-wing tactic, as soon as we hear a national hubbub over Noelle Bush... Yet, I cannot recall Rush Limbaugh even mentioning Roger Clinton, except in passing, much less using him politically. I don't hear Rush that much anymore, so he may have... but it's out of character for him.

Sorry buddy, this does not sound like someone who is hoping for her to get successful treatment. There is a long list of criminals I would prefer have the opportunity to see the inside of a jail cell before a non-violent girl who may be addicted to a prescription drug. But, I have NO problem sending her there if that's determined to be the appropriate sentence. The reasons this incident can be used to bash her family exist only in your mind.

Hillary was interviewed on a Liberal talk show, (perhaps Katie Couric's) and said something like this: "Chelsea had been jogging around Battery Park, (which is somewhat near the World Trade Center ) and she had planned to jog on by the WTC when she suddenly got an urge for an expresso and stopped at a little coffee place and that's when the first plane hit. "

Hillary implied that this sudden urge for coffee saved Chelsea from being directly under the WTC at the moment of the first impact. Dramatic stuff!



Then perky little Katie, (Or whatever female anchor was inteviewing her) said, "At that point you weren't just a Senator, but you were a Mother too. "

Powerful stuff!



But it's not true. It is just another Hillary lie told to create empathy.

Truth: According to an article Chelsea herself wrote for (I believe Talk magazine), she was in a "friends" apartment, 4 miles or so from the WTC the morning of 9-11 and watched it all on TV. The article Chelsea wrote talked about her feelings as she watched the events unfold.
