Now that Tom Kane, the head of the 9/11 commission, has said that the 9/11 attacks could and should have been prevented (see the story , the media will herald this 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, for the next year. Already the media has family members of the victims of 9/11 making statements against the administration.



You can bet this will be 1st, last, and middle subject at the remainder of the Dem. candidate debates and front & center topic at the Dem. Convention next year in Boston.

I think you will find that the administration that could have stopped 9/11 was headed by Bill Clinton.

Glen, I know Clinton could have brought Bin Laden here ... he even admitted it at a speach he gave on Long Island on a audio tape that NewsMax has ... but you know as well as I that that information will be suppressed by the major media and only the "Bush Administration" should have and could have stoped the attacks will be reported 24/7.



Think of the ads that the Dems will play on the weekend before the 2004 election: A mother with here children standing in front of a picture of the burning WTC holding a copy of the 9/11 commision's report in one hand and a picture of her dead husband in the other ... then she says "... why didn't you do anything to stop this Mr. Bush!".



Bush will lose in a landslide.



PS: Gun owners in the US, better get you can now before the Dems have a "Waco" raid a week for the next 4 years under President Dean ... at least you can go down fighting.

I don't think he will, Ashcroft is the only AG to state that the Second Amendment is the right of the "People" to keep and bear arms. Don't sound like a gun grabber to me. But, if he pulls that crap he's lost me forever, that's the reason I voted for him as Guv in Texas, he promised to sign a carry law and he did. Politician that kept his word, go figure.

It wasn't just Bin Laden. One of my favorite presidents said to carry a big stick. That is what we are doing now; Clinton should have done it long ago. Letting the terrorists get by with terrorist act after terrorist act gave them the wrong idea about the USA. (but the right idea about Clinton)

Its really going to take something for Bush to lose in '04 He has a pretty powerfull secret weapon; Hilliary Clinton.

She has to see to it that Bush wins in '04 so that she does not have to face a Demo incumbent in '08.

With all his resources and with the Clintons helping, between them they will do in whoever gets the Demo nomination.

Cant agree with you more. Hilary has it set to run against an open field in '08. But, I am VERY disappointed in W's last two major bills he signed- the Medicare expansion fiasco (which MY generation will pay for forever), and the campaign finance reform bill. What gets me is, that latter kind of shots himself in the foot, doesnt it? Come on George, get your head out of your butt, and quit leaning left and trying to please everyone for votes. You're starting to resemble your opponents. God!!!!
