Garden/Lawn Tractor Advice...

Well part of history in GA is already eradicated. The state flag w/ the confederate battle emblem was thrown away. Certain people (mostly Roy Barnes) thought it might "offend" somebody. Well we sure wouldn't want the possiblity of affending anyone. If people would just read there history books and quit being so ignorant they would understand exactly what the confederate emblem stood for. I call it like I see it, if that offends you... get your panies in a wad I don't care.

Maybe we could get

Maybe we could get the south to seceed again. This time they could do it without a fight. I think the whites are whinning more than the blacks. The sooner we are all one color, the better this world will be!:D

That's not even worth a reply. CumminFast hit the nail on the head. The true history of the CSA has been tarnished and spit on by the negro racists in this country because they don't want the general public to know the truth behind why the war was fought. Most of you probably think it was about slavery and all that... typically the stuff you read in the history books. Tell me, can a history book written by a Yankee in New York accurately tell the truth of the War for Southern Independence? I'm a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and yes we are complaining. But the complaints are starting to wane. Times are past where we can sit by and expect our politicians to lift a finger for us, for the corrupt jerks to take a stand for what's right and decent. It's time for all of us Southerners to stand up and say enough is enough and we will not sit by while you say your heritage is more important than ours and your heritage should not be celebrated. Now personally, I would like to see the states of the Confederacy secede again and become independent, but that's a different rant.

If you don't like my opinions :{ me a river. Then go and pick up a history book published by a Southerner. Then you may actually learn something of the truth about why the war was actually fought and not what you've been brainwashed into thinking.

Mike:

I wholeheartedly agree with your statements. I agree we seem to be on the same page on this subject. It's very unfortunate that we have to contend with the misery that lay before us this day. Every day I have to put up with the mindless brainwashed people that have been told that their heritage is a disgrace. How long must we sit by, forever to be the dog that licks the hand that beats him? We are told that our great forefathers fought for a cause that was a farce, however we know in our hearts that it's simply not so. We are told that the War for Southern Independence was in fact a war to perpetuate slavery, but in our hearts we know that is not the case. The general public, those folks that read the history books and take it at face value, have no idea and don't want to see the terrors committed under the guise of "keeping the Union. " Those same people hold Abe Lincoln in such high regards, not knowing the tyrannical, immoral, and illegal actions he committed before the war, during, and afterward. For those of you that believe the war was about slavery, then I challenge you to do 1 simple action. Go to the nearest movie store and rent Gods and Generals. You only have to watch the first 30-45 minutes then stop watching if you wish. This movie shows EXACTLY why we fought the war.

Mike, I feel that in issues such as these, you and I and the rest of us are preaching to the choir.

Excellent points!!! Most slaves in the south before the war WERE NOT mistreated. Slavery is wrong, but every white man did not beat his slaves. Teachers at college dramatize slavery so much it is disgusting. The book writers are not much better. They are rewriting history to fit their perspectives. I myself would be considered a redneck. My neck is burnt from working dawn to daylight hours in the sun and I have a farmer's tan from hell, but I love working hard. People that want to look down on me that is fine, but I believe in a life of working hard, playing hard, and loving genuinely. I don't apologize b/c my pants don't sag and my shirt is tucked in. In our town if you want to get work done Mexican labor is the only way. That is really sad. Whites and blacks are scared to get dirty. I like investing in people when they really earn their dollar. And Mexicans are the only people that appreciate the USA.

no looking down from me

I agree with everything you said. People trying to make their way on minimum wage nowadays are probably worse off than slaves ever were. They're slaves and don't even know it. They may be able to cover their food and housing but are usually in debt, something slaves didn't have to deal with.

If this thread is still about Rush

I hope I am not hijacking the direction of this thread, but after reading 4 pages, my eyeballs just about fell out. As far as the football comment, Rush should have known better. after all, the Jimmy the greek incident and other sportcaster firings were discussed on his show years ago.

As far as the drug addiction, I can understand someone in his position wanting to hide this from the public--even if the addiction was acquired legitimately as a result of post-op pain management. After all, when would he have time to kick this monkey without the public finding out? How about when he had his ear surgery?

If this thread is about Rush being a hippocrate, then the measure of the man is easy to take. Simply find quotes of Rush holding forth on the subject of drug abusers DURING the time in which he was himself addicted. That is the method that Rush himself has used against others, [and I believe most of them deserved it] so I think it appropriate as a standard for him. There -- that is your assignment CF and Bill. Please supply statements and dates.

Just so you know my politics, I could never build an airplane-because one cannot fly with two right wings:rolleyes:

Ummm Rush just stated the facts about the quarterback situation. He is just stating it the way it is. I am sick of blacks pulling the race card and I am glad somebody has the balls to say something about it? Do you endorse Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Do you think they should have the title Reverand? Rush did not hide the fact that he got hooked on prescription drugs. He came out and admitted it. Bill Clinton could not even do that. What a disgrace to this country!!
