I'll give him the benefit of doubt, I saw a 50's something woman using one at Disney world to direct traffic in the parking lot. I stop and talked to her, she mentioned that everyone she knows was thrown off the front of them when they were learning how to use them. Also said something about a software problem that throws you off the front every once and a while.
