Yeah I don't floor it, but probably will "easy up" until in 3rd and try that... My NV5600 never cared... of course I had to shift it 3 times to cross an intersection.

On my former 02 Ram 3500 5600, I launched in 3rd gearif I really needed to move out into heavy traffic and only used 1st when towing heavy. 196K miles on the original clutch when I sold it. BEST looking and FAVORITE of all the Ram Cummins trucks I've owned.

Haha, right.. I had 4:10 ratio, so I basically never used 1st unless towing heavy. Always started in second.. sometimes would roll and do third like you said.. Sold it with 195k on it and I heard its out towing cars on the interstate now.
