Two Honda eu3000is Operating Questions

Ok, I've pretty much decided on a Bigfoot 2500 Camper. Anyone know if it's cheaper to buy a used unit in Canada? Obviously the converion rate variance will effect the price, but I was just wondering if anyone has found that, generally speaking, they could save money by purchasing up north. I'll have to pay tax when I license it in Washington, but it would be worth the drive for me if I could save any $$$$.

What does it weigh

How much doe a BF weigh? Will it put you over weight on the tires?

If you don't have them already, budget for airbags and RS9000s.

I paid $14,200 Canadian for my 1996 25C9. 5 last fall and my buddy paid $17,500 for his 1997 25C10. 5 last summer. Both are in excellent condition, but his has more options like power jacks, awning, storm windows. etc. They aren't easy to find, but they are out there. As far as weight goes, mine is 2714 loaded and ready to go except fresh water. I have the Rancho RS9000x's on my truck and it handles the load well. I am not sold on the airbags yet, but we will see. Oh, and I'm 1400 lbs under the max tire load and 700 lbs under the max axle load (dana 70). I personally wouldn't get a 10'6" for a 2500, but that's just my feeling. You'll love the Bigfoot. I can't see me buying a different brand now that I've had one. Good luck

Dave

Definately the 25C9.5

I agree, I really appreciate all the input on the 2500. I'll limit myself to the 25C9. 5 primarily due to weight issues. I have two extra leafs on my spring packs and Rancho 9000 shocks in back. I'll leave it like that to start with. I was going to get air bags out of the gate, but I've heard so many mixed opinions on them that I've decided to hold off. I also heard an ear full about the lift I have on the truck, but I only lifted the back @ 2" and leveled it out in front (about 4"). Thanks again for all the helpful comments and guidance. I'll let you know what I end up with. :D
