Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Buying Edge Juice Attitude questions,,,

I'm ready to get one but I remember seeing a thread after they first came out talking about voided warrenties if bought from ebay. Anyone know of this thread or info? $650 on ebay compared to $810 for everywhere else I've found. Where did you guys go to and what price range is realistic? Thanks,

I talked to one of the local dealers in town. From what I understand is if several people were buying from edge and selling on ebay at much lower than the manufacture suggested retail price. Which was causing several local shops to quit selling because they couldn't compete. Now edge and ebay got together and aprarently sellers are now not allowed to sell them on ebay for less than the manufactures retail price or the auction will be deleted. Now this only applies to new units. Edge is also cracking down on internet sellers, which is pretty much why you see them all about the same price.



When I started shopping for one I started with my local dealer for a little over 600. So I would suggest getting on the phone and start calling around localy you may find a much better deal. Simply because if they don't advertise a price where edge will find out, they seem more likely to sell them for a little less.

For what it is worth, MDS, Edge, Superchips are all on a national MVP price plan now. If a retailer is caught selling below the MVP price, they loose their ability to purchase any of these lines for resale.



Now, if you have a buddy in the business and pay with cash (no ticket), you can probably still get a good deal.

well collusion would be more if the different manufactures all agreed on prices for their diferent programmers, this is just MVP setting the price for their product and you either sell it for that price or you don't sell, kinda like sony and their playstation or apple and the ipod, however, rumor has it edge will either be lowering the price or offereing a rebate the first of november so if i was you i would hold off a couple of days, may be just a rumor but its worth a couple of days

Well I bought it yesterday, had it in by 8 last night and drove home today with the hot unlock, I think it was worth the 100. I got it for "jobber" through a friend, not saying how much but I'm very happy. Yes the new price of $720ish starts the begining of Nov. I wish everything was this easy to install!
