What was the deal with the set dodge was selling to replace the leaky stockers?? After tornadoes, blizzards, floods and who knows what else yesterday, mine are leaking again!#@$%! Saw it all this week 4367 miles between Sunday 2PM and 2 am this morning! ;) And spent like over 1300 in fuel alone !!!!

Just last month I replaced my center clearance light for the second time. That makes a total of 3 replacements so far.

Alas, back in 2003 there was no delete option for cab clearance lights on 3500s.

When I got my new 08, it didn't come with the cab clearance lights on it that I wanted, so I asked for them to be installed before receiving the truck. I noticed that I got slightly different lights on my truck than all the other new ones on the lot, so maybe Dodge has some new ones out?

What are you replacing with... stockers or are the part numbers superceded each time?

Yeah, Recon cab lights are available. (There are other threads... search on "recon" in the titles of 3rd gen threads).

There are supposed to be improved lights out there, as discussed here, but when I ordered my new one last month it was still the old style.

I think mine have been the same part number every time.

That second link was the one I was searching for before, but could not find. Thanks once again to Ryan !! ;) Wonder if gtobey is still around? see his part number ended in AD, which means the part has been superceded 4 times... gee, I wonder why!!!!???

my truck did not come with the clearence lights from the factory, so i had to purchaser them seperate. I have not had a problem with them leaking at all. I used some clear rtv silicone at the base of each light as well as through the screw hole and have not had a problem.

I do not know what the part number is, however dodge told me that they were an updated part from the previous known leaking ones.

The screw holes are on the side of the lights rather than on the front and back , so i think its the newer part.

I went through this knot hole last year. The fix for the trucks with lights from the factory is the type with a seperate gasket. Yoy have to buy everything piecemeal, 5 lenses, 5 gaskets ect. I cant find the tsb, they had one. The lense part# is 55077559ad. This cured it. Do more searching because it is on here. Take your time putting the gasket on the lense and the unit on the roof and they work great, no leaks.

Same here, I like them better than those ones with the screw hole right at the front of the light.
