You all are wrong. They just don't know of all this debate and " war of the words". Joe didn't tell um. But that might not be a bad thing. Remember every time Stefan replys to a post about transmission's, the thread is closed or somebody is excused from the site.



Words as we see on here, are not very expenseve, Maybe costly in the end, but not a cent up front. And look at what the race might bring in if we all were willing to pay to see the two trucks heads up.



Greg, just get a larger pin to poke with. Sooner or later the point will make contact and the hot air is gone away and the truth will be known.

You know from a marketing standpoint the real and true winners in a deal like this could be the charities. Certainly they both would like to be the "Quickest & Fastest Diesel Pickup" and be able to claim that. Why not do it the right way and they both come out on the winning end?. Why not make it a Best 2 out of 3 Diesel Pickup shootout. The overall round looser,Owner who doesn't make the Quickest pass and the Owner who doesn't make the fastest pass will dontate for their losses to the others charitable organization. I'd be willing to bet money on you also being able to get alot of your biggest Diesel Performance Manufacturers to step up and match contributions for both rides. This way its settled,who is the quickest,who is the fastest and the charities are the big winners,plus Comp will be able to relax and concentrate on round wins for a Wally.



The same could be done with the dragsters. Scheids and Bentz would make for a very good addition to the show. The only thing I am not sure of is the "Quickest & Fastest" diesel dragster moniker. Years ago Delaware native John Carey ran a built V8 Detroit Diesel in Top Fuel and was competitive with it. Its was banned from NHRA back then due to "safety reasons" because of the huge amounts of smoke it made during its passes. At any rate it still would be something to watch. Do it at a neutral track to all competitors in the middle of the country where all have almost equal distances to tow,Indy or St. Louis would be the best tracks for a deal like this.

Preston, that simply isn't the case. I just searched Stefans posts to check that - in the last six months there have been 15 transmission related posts that Stefan has posted on. 2 have been closed in that time and neither of those were closed anywhere near to the time that he had posted and weren't closed because of him posting. Searching all of the posts for "tran*" and ones that he posted on returned 105 results - 4 of those had been locked. I can't recall for sure the last person that was removed from the site for an auto trans post but I believe it was Bill and that was 3 years ago. Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 people that have been banned from the site in the last year or so. Just matching up perception with reality.

in drag racing we refer to the quickest ET as being the fastest , and in all context in this forum I am speaking in a drag racing context.

we all know that GBE has the fastest Bonneville truck, so if you want to be precise , then I have the quickest truck.



in this poll , the question is my truck quicker in the 1/4 mile then the Edge trucks current time . and also IMO the future development of both trucks

A DURAMAX it is , My comp teammate wants us to do a Super Comp dragster , and G. M. PERFORMANCE PARTS want me to do a S 10 . either way it will be a neat deal, the DURAMAX has great potential as a race motor .



Just think about a dead on dial SC car , all I need is 800 reliable flywheel hp , that seems easy , with a cam , port work , pistons . and rods. And some of Doc's , new electronics

I don't believe I have a traction problem. I can spool up and hit a pro tree, leaving at 80 to 90 psi boost, and it gets the all of the track. The only problem I have is when the truck gets up on the tire as we say and gets on the marbles, meaning it floats around on the big end.
