I run the BD Race Anti-Defueler on my 02 ctd. My truck wouldn't launch at the strip or pull hard thru the top of 1st and 2nd gear without defueling. The torque management system in the 01 and 02 Dodges would de-fuel and stumble coming off the line. I'm sure the common rail Cummins has a similar torque management system. I think BD has a new RAD on the way. You really won't be able to drag race without it. I sure couldn't with my 02. It has had no ill effects on my truck except that when engaged my tach doesn't work. The only guage that works is the speedometer. I have an auto so they aren't that important. Check with BD for the new gen Dodges.
