Has anyone seen the cover of 4 wheel magazine with the Dodge Power Wagon on it? I was wondering if anyone knows if that same type of hidden winch will fit on my 05 2500? I have seen them where they are hidden pretty good, but not that good. Anyone know??

Thanks in advance for the input.

No problem

We just got the new 3rd Gen Ram Bullbars in last week. Oo.

They will fit up to a 12K MileMarker hydraulic or electric winch. The winch is completely hidden behind the bumper. All you see is the rollers and hook. You can see them at this web site. http://uteltd.com/pages/03ram/

I really dont want to change my bumper. Does anyone know of the best kit as far as being hidden behind the stock bumper? I think Warn makes one but I don't know if there is any that is better. Thanks for any info.

See my 1st post, you can't get a winch behind the stock bumper, go take a look at how much room there is.

There's a lot more room behind the 1500 bumper than the 2500/3500 bumper. The 1500 models usually don't have any coolers in front of the frame. You can put a small child in there. Only if he's being realy bad though... .

Unfortunately I am not near my truck, it is in California and I am working in Arizona. I do have a small child but I am not willing at this point to fit her behind the bumper of my cousins 1500. :p Does anyone know of anyway to get a winch somehow mounted somewhere where it is at leas somewhat hidden?

Thanks

Even if you put the kid under the 1500, it wouldn't be an apples to apples comparison. There is no intercooler on the 1500. You could get a receiver mount winch and add a front receiver.

Do you really think you want to try and lift a winch big enough for the truck into that receiver? A 12,000lb winch wieghs well over 100lbs, best to bolt it to something permanently :)

The winch on the Power Wagon is supposedly specially desinged by Warn for the application. As already mentioned though, the PW has no intercooler behind the bumper. Maybe the best way to go about it is to buy a Power Wagon too :-laf

if you read the article you'd notice the part about the factory actually added a few more inches of room inbetween rad and bumper just so they could fit the winch
