Neutral Noise '06 G56...Please help

I can't take the noise from my FASS 95 pump anymore so I'm looking at reinstalling the original style filter mounted pump and carrying a spare (I don't want to use the in-tank kit).
Will the stock pump keep up with my Smarty Jr. on the 100 HP level or when pulling hills with the trailer or will it starve the fuel system?

Note that I will not be adding any more power in the future but I am pushing through a 2u filter.

Thanks in advance for you insight.

Why don't you want to look at the in-tank kit?

Cuz I'm a cheap sob! :D and I don't want to bother removing the tank as long as I can still get the external pump. I don't really see the advantage to the newer tank pump other than it's a bit more reliable. But I only put about 4500 miles a year on the truck so anything will last a long time to me.

I don't think I would want to go back to the canister mounted pump, too many known issues.

Why not move the FASS 95 somewhere where it's not audible with the truck running?

I can only hear it a bit in the truck but it's noisy as hell outside. It seems to be at it's worst when you really don't wan't it. Like driving slowly through a really nice camp ground while everybody is out. Then they stare as my truck screams by.

Take the Fass apart and substitute the relief valve spring with one about half the strength. I did that to mine, which was always noisy even with rubber mounting. Now, when I turn on the ignition, I can hear the CC vacuum pump over the Fass. It will also be easier on the motor as it is not producing more pressure than necessary.

The Dual lift Pump(factory) Adapter is another option. 1 customer ran his fass until it Died, then He crawl under the Truck turned a Ball valve flipped the in-cab Switch and continue on his vacation 1200 miles form Home. Or another option is the ASSIN Mechanical Pump or GDP Mechanical Pump. When He return Home He removed His FASS. He has Not commented on the Pump,So I assume he's still running the same 1 with the spare in its place over 2 years ago. .

Turn the pressure on the pump down and get the modded cannister with bigger lines. That usually quiets them down to tolerable. Half the noise of the noise of the pumps is the attempt to draw the fuel to it. Should never install these pumps without a modded cannister and upsized lines for best results.

Thanks all ~ I'll try turning the pressure down. Is it possible to get to this spring while it's on the truck or do I really need to pull the pump?

Pull the pump and change it on the bench. If you've been living well, you won't need a new gasket or "O" ring. If you have the parts on hand, you won't need them either.
