... be ordered seperate from '05 fan clutch? My fan decided to grab ahold of the wire and take out the fan, wire, and schroud this morning. What a mess. Just wondering if I'll be looking a the $$$ for a whole new clutch. Man this truck. #@$%!

On several I've helped replace... 2 on my rig... the wires appears to be integrated into the clutch itself. Not too sure if I would want to take everything apart to try to repair it either.

I tried wiggle jiggle and couldnt get it to come appart. And the dealer here was not much help. But I think there is one for me if I can just get him to call me back.

I have had it replaced twice on my truck. Both at the expense of the warrenty. A couple days after purchasing the truck I was looking around at my new truck and found that the fan had grabbed the harness and bent the entire thing up so the wires were between the fan and the block.

Not quite a year later I found the same thing and they were repair again under warrenty. I have not had a problem with the wires since. I think the only way t ogt away from this is to put in electric fans.

Wowza that thing is amazing.

I did find another clutch and got it all back together with a new fan and shroud from Ford. Not sure how the wire caught but this time I added a zip tie to help hold it secure. I ended up with about 3/8ths of an inch between the wire and the fan blade tips.

I did go through the process of finding electric and may go that route in the future. But it was recomended to me by one of the manufacture's that I not use one if I tow heavy. So for now I'll stay mech.
