MMCLANE... Thanks very much. You sent me too many letters I think but I will try to decipher it. I think it is the first 16 maybe? Thanks again. .

Sorry, my truck is not here right now. The last four numbers say: L4-VON: 1271

That may be the extra numbers you need to leave off.

Did a little research and I built a harness. I think a harness can be built. Easy? Not really. It just takes some matching. I have all matched but one hot wire and I am not going to hook it up until I verify some things. Specifically, I need the pin schematic for both rear plugs on a RB1 radio? Anyone have that? The 22 way and the 10 way next to it. The 2005 VIN I ran worked great (Thanks again) but the module necessary to make that happen is on backorder and was unavailable throughout the country. When and if its available I can get it for ($485). The entire dash harness is available for these trucks at about ($380). But again without the proper hands free module for a 2005, the harness is useless. So I am going to try to build the harness to 2004 schematics. I have a module out of a 2004 truck and the mirror and have run the wiring to the mirror. Just need that PIN schematic out of the rear of the RB1 to match it all up. My RB1 has no schematic on top like my RAZ radio does. Rats!!! Any thoughts.

Here is a site that the pinouts of an adapter cable make for the RB1 input:

Ok so on a Ram 2500 where does the Uconnect Module mount from the factory? I have read all the information on the LX forum and today took the pillar off... I have alot more than 5 wires for my mirror so I assume that there is a cable for the Uconnect somewhere behind the dash from hell... ... .

Anyone have the schematic of where the stock box mounts? There should be a loose bundel wire tied out of the way in that location.

The hands free module mounts behind the glove box with a mounting bracket available from Dodge. If you have a harness from the factory waiting for you behind the pillar, then you are a step ahead of me. I have nothing. I bought the mirror harness for the LX car and all you have to do is extend the lines or replace them with longer ones to reach the C1 module of the hands free module. My problem lies in combining the sirius and uconnect. The HF module has two plugs. The second smaller plug (c2) has wiring that almost exactly matches the wiring on the factory satellite receiver plug. SO, this is only my guess!! I think the factory satellite receiver goes into the HF module in plug C2. Then the HF module C1 plug is split between the mirror, the radio C1 plug and the radio C2 plug depending on the wiring diagram. Can we confirm that? Only someone with sirius and uconnect can look behind the glove box (through the end cap of the dash so to speak) and see if there are two plugs going into the hands free module. I am running into trouble with the RB1 radio. I know some people have that radio with uconnect from the factory, but I dont think they have the full features of the RB4, which in my research looks like it was made for the factory uconnect system. Because only the RB4 displays the phone number and charging of the phone that you use on the screen. Kinda nice in my book. But you give up features on the RB4 that the RB1 navigation radio has. As soon as either 1) I get it working or 2) my truck catches fire from my pathetic wiring, I will post everything I do and do not know right here. Chime in here folks. I need all the input I can get.

On the Ram trucks the factory module mounts beside the passenger side of the glove box. If you open the passenger door you will see an access door on the end of the dash that pries off. There is a thin metal brace with two holes that the module bracket mounts to. It shows it on page 8T-2 of the service manual.

Well I found the bracket... while I have the extra wires at the mirror connection I don't have a loose connection for the UConnect... so I guess I am in the same boat as you AZ... where did you pick up the connectors that you needed?

What radios does everyone have in their trucks? What year are the trucks and does anyone also have sirius from the factory? Just trying to get an idea here. Still looking for a pin diagram of an RB4. Anyone?

I am hoping somebody answers your question about how the Sirius and and Uconnect hook up, since I have the Uconnect from the factory, but I am trying to add the Mopar Sirius kit. Hearing from somebody with this set up from the factory would be nice.

If you look behind the glove box at your hands free module. Does it have two plugs? If so, the largest plug should be taken. The second (10 pin) plug in the module itself, has the same wires as does the satellite (sirius module) according to the shop manual. Have you tried to plug the sirius into that second plug. Or is it even available? Let me know what you find out. I am trying to wire it that way and see what happens. My guess ( and only a guess) is that if you have uconnect and sirius from the factory, the shop manual shows that the sirius then goes to the hands free module instead of the radio. Just a thought. I got the connectors from chrysler, but if you get them from METRA then they are MUCH cheaper. :)

Yeah - If you have Uconnect you have to go through the Uconnect module, as it already occupies the radio plug. I tried to connect an aux input to that spot on the module, but It would not work. I am assuming the Uconnect is looking for something on the bus line that the aux input does not use. Looking in the manual, I thought I saw a connector located somewhere closer to the rear seat where Sirius is supposed to go, so I am a little confused. If someone has factory Uconnect and Sirius working, I would love to double check where they interface. I can't try anything yet, as I am still waiting on the install kit.

Azn. . go to the LX forums and see if the picture I posted is the same for your truck as far as the mirror connector goes... Apparently the connector for our trucks is different from the 300's... . I guess we can use the same mirror but the harness is going to be different from the mirror to to the trucks harness.

GOD THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY>>>WHY DIDN"T I ORDER IT WITH THIS> :--)

I will look in the morning to see if I have that connector anywhere. I talked with the good guys at makeitmopar.com and they told me that the late 04 and 05 trucks have a telematics harness from the mirror to the module. They gave me a part number 56051317AC - $30. 75. I have no idea if this will help with the mirror part of it. I am going to order it and take a chance I guess. I have made up a harness but I do not have the right power I guess. I have it tapped into the B+ wire on the larger radio plug but only get chimes and resets on my dash when I plug it in. The autodim works on the mirror but the uconnect part does not. Any suggestions? I plug it in and nothing really happens other than the dash resetting itself every 30 seconds or so. The radio does not recognize it nor does the system power on. When I unplug just the B+ wire from the radio harness all stops including the dash reset. What wire should I use for power?

On the mirror part of things. The horizontal only plug that my regular autodim mirror has also fits into the back of the telematics mirror, however, it has two blue/black wires in addition to the others in this plug. Any idea what they are? The other plug goes to the hands free module and matches the manual, but these two end wires of the power plug in the mirror have me stumped. blue and black both. Thanks

That page also shows that the module gets it juice and brain from the instrument cluster( F983 and A114) and its BUS (D25) from the data link connector. IS there a reason why I cant use those identical wires that are coming out of the back of Radio C1 instead of running those wires to there sources? Did I miss something here?

SO... ... If I tap into the radio harness (C1) to get the 4 wires (forgot to mention the ground) I just mentioned above (A114, F983 and D25 and ground). Add that to the three wires needed from Radio C2 (703, 704 and 795) then add all of these to the mirror wires (835,735,792,712,730,722 and 793). All of the above are then combined to make a plug for C1 of the hands free module. Are you with me?

Following the diagram for the hands free module and placing each in their respective slots. Why wont it work?

I need a whiskey. Then again. This is kinda fun. A challenge. :--)

I am still trying to get the mirror right. . I am going to call the mopar guys tomorrow... but if I read correctly Az then you are saying our mirrors have 2 plugs coming off them... and one of those goes directly to the Telemetix box? So we are completely different than the freaking LX guys?
