From looking at the diagram on the lx forum what I can see is that we need 6 wires coming from the mirror to the module and 7 wires from the radio out of pin numbers 1,4,5,6,16,17,and 22.
Hummm. . Please correct me if I am wrong here. I am not using the diagram from the LX forum. Their radios are not the same as mine at least. I am using the radio C1 diagram on page 1141 (8W-80-92) that goes with my truck. For instance.

This is what I am using. I really dont think these trucks (prior to 2006) use the canbus like the LX cars diagram uses.
Yes, the mirrors have two plugs. I have the autodim mirror from the factory and that plug moves over to the new mirror to power it. Then in addition, it has the new plug for the telematics module.
Well I got all the part numbers for the items needed from makeitmopar.com but I can't get the telmetics part because its backordered. >!!!!! CRAP. . well try again in a week or so.
Thats what I gots... if you want the harness for the Uconnect tothe Radio its the whole wiring harness. . I didn't get that price but it can't be cheap.
Yep. That is how I see it as well. I think we should send that to the guru on Lxforum and double check with him. I have my harness built like that right now and it does not work. I must have something wrong. Let me know what he says. Thanks
It is from the Navagation/Telecommunications diagram from the 05 manual as the 04 manual does not show anything about a satellite tuner connection. I know from doing the CD changer/Satellite install on my RB1 that pin 8 on the Radio C2 is needed as that carries the "ARTIST/TITLE" info from the satellite tuner to the RB1 for displaying it.
If someone has a 2005 with the factory installed Uconnect and Sirius I need the Dodge part number that is located on the Uconnect module. The module is located at the passenger end of the dash behind the access panel that you can see after opening the passenger door. This module should have three connectors coming out of it. Thanks in advance for any help.
My truck has the Sirius, U-Connect, and Navigation radio. It is a 2005 model so this is probably what you need. I took the little access plate off but the serial/part number is on the other side. It was raining when I looked so I did not go further. I will take it off tonight and get the information you need.
The U-Connect is worth the trouble you are going to by the way. I have a Motorola Razor phone with bluetooth. I did not know what bluetooth was before getting my truck. I was always missing calls before because the radio would cause me to not hear the phone. Now, the radio goes off and the uconnect takes over. I only drive my truck every third month so I really miss this feature when I am not in the truck. But... ... . I don't miss buying diesel fuel since fuel is furnished on the other vehicle!!!
Wow, that module is hard to get to. I took the dash apart enough to turn the module to where I could read the numbers. There were two numbers so I am not sure which is the part number you need. I am fairly sure the first one is the part number though.
First one was in large numbers: 56043255A1
(the last number might be a I or an L)
The second number was under a bar code: YS9632C02DNG
I hope this helps you. Be ready to take your dash apart to get this job done!
Did anyone ever get the pinout from the mirror? I got the mirror and want to hook it into the after market U-connect. I figure if I have the pinout from the mirror, I can spice into the aftermarket wiring at the control module and have the buttons at least work. I got a mirror from a 06 Caravan off Ebay and would reall like to lose that aftermarket control module. I'm willing to bet the mirrors are the same for all DC vehicles. Luckily mine came with the plugs on the mirror and about 10" of both plugs.
Okay that accounts for 6 of the 12 wires, but on which plug? One is stright with 7 contacts (6 used) that can plug into the stock autodimming mirror (which only had 3 wires coming out of the harness) the other is square with 12 contact points with 6 wires coming out. Really just want the buttons and mic to work. Oh and BTW I have a color vision issue. I see colors, but not correctly but thankfuly the Wife can help with that.
I have not been able to get mine working so I am counting on the genius of you folks to figure this out. I thought I had the wiring correct and I certainly spent the money on the parts, but then the truck computer seems to not recognize it. Maybe a trip to the dealer is in order. Not sure. If you guys have any suggestions, lets hear em. . My parts numbers match yours by the way. Thanks
