Off Roading Skyjacker rear springs

Last dyno I ran on was a Dynojet 240 and I may get to run on another with my new Water Methanol System Saturday but it will be another Dynojet 240. Last time I ran I could only make 22 psi as there wasnt any load on the dyno, numbers in my sig show what I ran. I am wondering is it possible for the dyno tech to lay on a little bit of brake on the roller so their is a light load on the dyno so I can make some boost. Is this possible if just a small amount of braking pressure is applied? Will this cause any damage to anything?

Should be making the runs in OD, with the converter locked. Typically, this is from about 1900rpm or so. When you go full throttle, you want the lowest RPM starting point where it doesn't downshift or unlock the TCC.

With any turbo of HX40 size or smaller, the boost difference on the road vs. on the dyno is usually very small, like 2-3psi.

Made consecutive runs with no more than 23 psi showing on the gauge (gauge works fine on the street) and running in OD. Cant guarantee the TC is locked since I dont have a controller on the truck yet. What can I do on a 248 to gain some boost?

DAYUMM Jeff, 520 HP with stage 3's and a hybred? I gotta get out to your DYNO!

We are runnin close to the same exact setup and uhh I haven't seen the 500's :{

Thats a huge difference. Something going on there. What do you have for mods?

Altitude shouldn't make that much of a diff mgoncalves, since he's at that altitude on the street and the dyno.

Well 1 addition that got me over the hump was sticks Edge EZ set on jumper 3. Without that addition I only made 486 or something like that.

TMTT what are you laying down?

You might try closing down your wastegate for the dyno. It might be that it set pretty light and you have enough fuel to still see good boost numbers on the street. Using the dyno brake will help but you can do about the same thing powerbreaking the truck too. Basically it doesn't make a big difference using the breaks or not IMO.

Great idea IdahoCtd, one problem, I have a non wastegated turbo. Can I complicate this anymore guys? Sorry, I appreciate all the help so far.

Thanks, I was a little (pleasantly) suprised. I think I made 3 consecutive runs like that all with in a HP or two. Thought I was pretty tough and then mlockner straddles up and shows me who's boss right afterwards. :rolleyes: Mike, I gotta get you. :D To be honest I do not remember what sort of correction factor they were using in the Mile High City. It was so late, at that point we were all just gratefull to get to lay down some numbers. I might get a chance to run it this saturday with the new Water Methanol system installed, it will be a different dyno but its still the same model Dynojet.
