Local trans shop is trying to sell me one for $650 but I have never heard of them. He swears by them and says they are made just for cummins. What do you think?

I'm with Bob. As you can tell by my sig. I too think DTT is the way to go.



Aside from that, if you are considering spending $650 on a little known TC, which I'm sure is of milled stator design, why not Pro-Torque or something that is a little better know in the CTD world?

If you want a really good milled converter you can get one from Dave Goerend for about $300 less than the price you were quoting. Quite a few members have his converter and are satisfied with their performance. He is also a TDR member and does nice work. I've been happy with mine.

I'm curious about these "Goerand" parts. My partner bought a '95

4x4 that the o/d doesn't work. Looks like a rebuild and converter are due. The truck will probably be used as a plow truck but needs a bulletproof transmission and converter set up. Preferably with spending the proverbial arm and leg. Any info would help. Thanks
