Castrol Hypoy C gear oil??

Was at Wally World today (I work there and I still have to go in there even on my off days! ) looking at the price of gear oil compared to my parts house because I have the big 10% employee discount!!



Well I saw a brand of gear oil I'd never heard of before, as listed in the title: Castrol Hypoy C 80w-90. It was $2. 94 a qt.



Anybody ever heard of this, anybody used it in your vehicle? It said something to the effect of "good for limited slips". Guessing it had some type of LSD additive.



Just wondering if anybody had any experience with this stuff?

Yes, I ran some of that. It worked fine, rear diff temp was within 5* of the factory fill and Valvoline as well. My LSD is very tight and I had to add modifier to get the chatter out. To this day I have not found an oil that I don't have to add the modifier.
