Koa Man said:Why? You don't like quality? Besides, the Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan are more American built than my Mexican Ram. A lot of American auto makers are outsourcing to foreign countries, whereas the Japanese auto makers are building plants in the US.
RustyJC said:Well, let's see here. My "American" Ram was built in Mexico by a German company. My "Japanese" Acura 3. 2TL-S was built in Marysville, OH (the engine was built in Ada, OH) by a Japanese company. Now, which is more American?

So, do you still think it's more patriotic somehow for me to drive my Mexican-built Ram where the profits went back to DaimlerChrysler in Germany than my American-built Acura where the profits went back to Honda in Japan but American workers and suppliers garnered income from its construction?dezeldog said:Yeah I know all about the Japanese cars being made in this country however you and I have underwritten their factories through tax breaks and subsidies which is my/our tax dollars. Also the majority of the profit go back to corp. hq which is in the mother land.
