I'm eventually going to get the truck on a dyno, bad clutch or not. But that takes time, and time I don't have. I'm working 10 hour days and have a few other commitments. And holy crap, I have to save up for a while to get that new clutch...

full B-1 oughta be good for a little more top end than the hybrid, too. that combo is the shiz-nit to me. ~400hp for daily putting around, turn on the comp for another ~100hp for playtime!

exactly, 400HP for a daily driver is good safe power and the feeling isn't too bad either :-laf

touch that pedal and Oo.

I'm hoping for the same, around 400 without the tap but i'll have to upgrade the sticks(1. 5s)to the 4's(or something close) i think, but thats a real big step for me  cause i do tow though the mountains(17000lbs combined). I will dyno sometime soon, any member have an IDEA as to what i'm at now---SEE SIG for current bombs. Has anyone run mach 1. 5s and then gone to the bigger sticks,i just want to know how much more smoke there is by going bigger,(elevation is 3400ft). If i mash it with the 1. 5s i can lay some soot about 2 lanes wide with the duals until the B1 spools. :-laf Any feedback is greatly appreciated--THANKS---DW---PS BOB Wagner has had good things to say about those mach 4's now if someone would just knock my dumb a-- off the fence i'd probable go for them. :D :D :D

hey David, I am not ready to start pulling the fence out from under you until I have somrthing to offer and it will be a try it ya like type deal ;)

injectors are easy to swap . :-laf

thanks for everything,I am still fighting with fedex/usps  postal service admits the f up and fed ex sucks :(

Big P ,not to worry,i needed my Catcher sent to me by the weekend and Bob did his part(awsome customer service from BOB WAGNER),it was Fed Ex that screwed me and Bob over. Anyway they came to my door once, left their next day note that they would return tommorrow ,just sign the slip +12. oo bucks(brokerage/duty fee to Canada) and will leave the package at the neighbors---2 days later stiil no package  . I had to go pick it up on Friday(a week late) at the depot across town :{ . These shipping companies charge big $$$ for ther crappy service, sorry had to vent. PS--- if you bought a catcher i hope you like it ,best mod done so far to my truck. I played with a ricer today---after about 3 spankings from me he did'nt want to play anymore :D . I pretty sure his passenger was giving him a hard time from the looks on his face :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf . DW

Well, that pic must not have been mine! It does not have traces burnt to the extent of appearing as if the truck had been welded on... ;)

I picked up my CaTCHer from the USPS today, hopefully I will have it in tonight! I can hardly wait to feel the difference

Although I don't necessarily think it caused the problem, since it was the last event (tuning it on) moments before the ECM blew up, I will be sending the D-Comp back to Edge tomorrow for testing. The Comp does not interface directly with the ECM, but it does directly connect to the VP computer, which interfaces with the ECM. So it, and the DTT controller are the last two things I can verify as not being the root cause of the problem. The DTT controller interfaces directly with the PCM, which I believe interfaces with the ECM. After that, I will just have to cross my fingers and hope like 1134 the anomaly does not reoccur

Flip your computer screen over to read 1134, then play rock albums backwards to find out what happened to my ECM :-laf :-laf

That pic can NOT be yours, simply because it's a Common Rail ECM.

Sure enough the black spots on the front of your ECM look like welding spots.

Welding or a big 'n nasty short. Only these two could do the kinda damage your ECM had. Even the software in the Flash memory was corrupted. First time I saw that... All is well now! :D

Fell off the fence today....

Well I had been singing the praises of stacking the EZ and the SuperChips Tuner together and running that setup, after today, I will not. Installed the Catcher this afternoon and all I can say is @#$#%$ @#$% Marco this thing kicks major @$% compared to the above. Thanks to Bob getting this out to me pronto. As everyone running the Catcher has mentioned, the fuel comes on right now. Boost is unbelievably fast. Now I'm getting smoke from the tires as well. Haven't driven it much since the install, too many honey do's today, but tomorrow should be a :D day all day long. Going to drive out to Thousand Oaks for Conejo Valley days, carnivale, bbq and rodeo tomorrow. I could see a guy swapping ends on the ice, gonna have to take it easy when up in Oregon.

JUST DO IT!

l8er,

Casey

Follow up: Cruise control is working on my 2002, didn't use it much, still having too much fun playing. Next test for the Catcher is towing, gonna try it this weekend. Got a nice big old mountain to climb with the new trailer.

Sitting here still smiling,

Casey

HP TQ reading form my dyno run last weekend.

#ad

What I did was chart in the stock dyno run from last year , so there is a comparison with the MAD CaTCHER ECM. The way I see it , the HP comes on 900 RPM sooner. Overall It gained 30. 6 HP and 187 FT LB of TQ. This was with a adjustable boost elbow that I have set to max out at 28-30 lbs. The last run I specifically watched the boost gauge and it read 28 when he let off it at 3000 RPM's. Thought this might be of interest for those that are interested in numbers.

I bought this ecm for the drive-ability and response and I wont give it back. It has made the truck so much more fun to drive.

Thanks again to Bob Wagner for letting me send my dyno sheet to him so he could post it, as I dont have a way to do that. Thanks Bob.

Any questions, I will do my best to help answer them.

I am thinking about getting one for my truck. Question, what does it do to fuel economey? I know if we are lead footed  it will be the usual, but what if we drive normal? ;)

I have noticed no real change in fuel mileage. On my trip down to Harrisburg last weekend, I was running 70+ most of the way and hand calculated I got 19. 9 round trip. Around town here there is not much change, about 18 mpg.
